Missing Child: Harmony Montgomery

On December 31, 2021, authorities learned of the disappearance of Harmony Montgomery. The now 7-year-old, was last seen in October 2019. It has since sparked a major investigation and search for the little girl from Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to Lauren Smith of the Manchester Mayor's Chief of Staff, they received an email the last day of 2021 regarding concerns with the new Hampshire Division for Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) in connection to Harmony Montgomery. The office immediately connected with Manchester Police Department. Police Chief Allen Aldenberg immediately initiated an investigation, after discovering this little girl was indeed missing.

There are about 35 investigators currently at work on the case as well as DCYF along with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Chief Aldenberg stated that, "all efforts are focused on that Harmony is alive…until somebody points to me that proves that she is not. We have to operate under the assumption that she is alive." There is quite the concern that this child was not reported missing until more than 2-years later. "For us to have a two-year delay, that is extremely concerning," Police Chief Allen Aldenberg stated on Friday, December 31st when announcing an investigation into the little girl's disappearance.

Manchester Police have spoken with many family members, including Harmony's mother, Crystal Renee Sorey. She went into the police department on Monday for a polygraph as well as DNA test. No word at this time of the results of either.

It's unknown why Sorey hadn't reported her missing sooner. She stated on social media that she was under the assumption Harmony was living with her father, Adam Montgomery. Sorey claims that he had legal custody of the little girl.

“HARMONY MOMMYS COMING FOR YOU I PROMISE & I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO!!!! HANG ON BABY!!!!” Crystal Sorey posted on Facebook and Twitter along with photos of Harmony. These appear to be the last known photographs of the then 5-year-old.

“Help us find this little girl. Someone knows something. Do what is right and call in. I
cannot emphasize this enough. Someone out there knows something," Police Chief Aldenberg pleaded at the press conference on December 31st.

Harmony has an eyesight impediment, she is blind in her right eye and wears glasses.  She is last described as being 4 feet tall, and weighing 50lbs at the time of her disappearance. Harmony has blonde hair and blue eyes.
